Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mad Chaos Software ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the mobile and web game Floor Is Lava (the "Game"). We are committed to handling your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and other applicable privacy laws.
1.Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the Game, we may collect:

2.How we use information
- To provide, save, and sync your game progress across sessions and devices;
- To process and deliver purchases and honour entitlements (premium, ad removal, coins);
- To operate leaderboards and in-game features;
- To display advertising (unless you have removed ads or hold a premium upgrade);
- To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3.Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to run the Game. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting) — stores your account, progress, and entitlements. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob (advertising on Android) and Google AdSense / H5 Games Ads (advertising on the web) — may use advertising identifiers and cookies to serve and measure ads. See Google's "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services."
- Paddle (paddle.com) — our Merchant of Record and payment processor for web purchases. Paddle collects the billing and payment information needed to complete your purchase. See Paddle's Buyer Privacy Notice.
- Google Play Billing — processes purchases made inside the Android app.
Some of these providers are located outside your country, so your information may be processed overseas (including in the United States and the EU) under appropriate safeguards.
4.Advertising and your choices
Free versions of the Game may show ads, including rewarded video ads you choose to watch for in-game rewards. Ad partners may use device identifiers to personalise ads. You can limit ad personalisation through your device settings (for example, "Reset advertising ID" / "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" on Android, or your browser's ad settings on the web). Purchasing Remove Ads or the Premium upgrade disables banner and interstitial ads.
5.Children's privacy
The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian permitting a minor to play, you are responsible for supervising their use, including any purchases.
6.Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or game data is active, and as needed to provide the Game, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7.Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.Delete your data
You can also delete locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the app from your device. If you signed in with Google, revoking Floor Is Lava's access via your Google Account settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions) will disconnect your Google identity from the game.
Note: deleting your data is permanent and irreversible. Your game progress, coin balance, purchases, and leaderboard entries cannot be recovered after deletion.
9.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), and Australia (Privacy Act) have specific rights. We do not sell your personal information. 10.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the Game. Material changes will be made clear before they take effect.
