Floor Is Lava Versus CPU Difficulty
Labeled "Bot Speed" in Settings, this option controls how fast the three Versus bots — Roxy, Blaze, and Zippy — jump between platforms.
What it does
There are three tiers: Easy (the default), Normal, and Hard. Each tier sets how often the bots jump — a shorter interval means faster, more frequent jumps. Regardless of tier, Zippy is always the fastest of the three bots and Roxy is always the slowest, so the relative order between bots never changes — only their overall speed does.
How to change it
- Tap the ⚙️ gear icon in the top nav bar to open Settings.
- Scroll to the ⚔️ Versus CPU Difficulty section.
- Choose Easy, Normal, or Hard.
- Your next Versus race uses the new bot speed.
Tips
- New to Versus? Start on Easy — Normal and Hard both raise bot jump speed noticeably.
- Zippy is worth watching specifically in a close race, since it's the fastest bot at every difficulty tier.
- Bots also pick up a little extra speed the longer a race runs, so races tend to tighten up near the top regardless of difficulty tier.
