Floor Is Lava Character Appearance Settings
The 🎨 Character Appearance section in Settings lets you reshape your character's body, face and torch with live sliders, pick any shirt color you want, and browse outfit presets — with a live preview canvas showing every change instantly.
What's in this section
- Proportion sliders — thirteen sliders covering player height, face width/height/ corner roundness/vertical offset, body width/height/corner roundness, neck width/gap, and torch X position/Y position/size. Drag any of them and the preview canvas updates immediately.
- Shirt color — a color picker that accepts any color, not just a fixed palette.
- Leg Length — a Premium-only slider. Legs grow visually out of the bottom of the body without changing your character's total height, so your hitbox and jump physics stay exactly the same. Locked (shown at 🔒) for non-Premium accounts.
- Outfit Presets — a gallery of ready-made looks below the sliders, including free and Premium options. See Floor Is Lava outfits for the full list and how to unlock each one.
- Preview jump face — a button above the sliders that switches the preview canvas to show your character's mid-jump expression, so you can check how a design looks while airborne, not just standing still.
Every slider and the shirt color save automatically and carry over between sessions — there's no separate save button and no reset-on-refresh here, unlike some of the other Settings sections.
How to change it
- Tap the ⚙️ gear icon in the top nav bar to open Settings.
- Scroll to the 🎨 Character Appearance section.
- Drag any slider or tap the shirt color swatch — the preview canvas updates live.
- Tap ▶ Preview Jump Face to see how the design looks mid-air, then tap again to return to idle.
- Picking an Outfit Preset overwrites your custom sliders with that outfit's look; switching back to the Default preset restores your saved custom design.

Tips
- Selecting an Outfit Preset replaces your custom slider values while it's active — your own design isn't lost, it's just saved aside until you switch back to Default.
- Leg Length is purely cosmetic: it doesn't change your hitbox size or how high you jump, so Premium players can use it freely without any gameplay trade-off.
- There's no single "reset to default" button — if you want your original proportions back, note your slider values before experimenting, or just switch outfit presets to Default first.
